This album from Biff Byford is plain old fun Rock, with that heavier sound. Of course, it’s heavy. What would you expect from the front man of 1980’s rock band Saxon? A good rockin’ band with vocals that are mostly very good. Sometimes the vocals didn’t fit the song, but, that may just be me. The album starts off strong with “Welcome To The Show” and for the next 10 songs that follow, you’ll find that you’re grooving along with them as well. I wasn’t grooving right away, but as the album went on through different songs, including a cover of Simon & Garfunkle’s “Scarborough Fair”, the album just keep getting better. Even though that song was not anywhere near as good as the original, it did surprise me in a good way. That song, by Simon & Garfunkle is perfect, & Biff Byford did make it his own, but, not as good as the original. This is Biff’s first solo album, and future endeavors may be even better. Give this album a try. I think you’ll like it. It is not as hard as Saxon, but, that works for me as well. I give this 4 out of 5 Music Guru stars.
