Emerson Lake & Palmer ~ Once Upon A Time In South America

This 4 CD (Box)set took me a long time to listen to. There is so much great music on these discs, you just don’t want it to end. This is a live set with 6 different places that they played in South America. Starting off the first disc with a shorter, but, sharper version of Tarkus. How they managed to cut the song in half & still impress me, really boggled my mind. Going throughout their musical history with some duplicates, gave you a good idea of some of the great music that ELP brought us. Some included tracks are “Still You Turn Me On”, “Fanfare For The Common Man”, “Touch And Go”, “Lucky Man”, “Hoedown”, “Pirates”, “From The Beginning” “Karn Evil 9 1st Impession Part 2” & much more. The only down point to these discs was that I would’ve rather heard different songs rather than, in some cases, 3 of the same song. Even with that, this still gets 5 out of 5 Music Guru Stars. Buy this set, you will not regret it. Production is also great. Unfortunately we recently lost, both Keith Emerson & Greg Lake, but Carl Palmer still does a great concert with 2 other musicians covering ELP. You should check it out, it is very impressive.
