CARPTREE ~ Emerger

A new album from the Swedish prog band Carptree will be coming out on April 7, 2017. For those of you who may not know the band, do not confuse them with Yes, or Pink Floyd. They may resemble Marillion more. Starting off the album, with, to me, their strongest song on the album, “The Fleeting Deep”. This sounds like analogue keyboards at their finest. This is a 2 man band, however, they are usually helped out by the NO FUTURE ORCHESTRA, which features vocals, guitars & drums. All of the music is written by the 2 members of Carptree (Niclas Flink & Carl Westholm). The album does go down a bit from the first track, but, that could just be me. Not a bad album, mind you, It’s just that the first track is so strong, the rest of the album couldn’t keep up. You give it a listen & tell me what you think. I rate this at 3.5 out of 5 Music Guru Stars.
