David Ellington ~ Marbles From A Drawer

david ellington

A beautiful opening to this album comes from “Goin’ To Church”. I love the flow & feel of this instrumental opening of this great disc. There are only 8 tracks on this, & I wish there were more. David on all of the keyboards, including a Wurlitzer 200A, Hammond A100 organ, Mellowtron, & Yamaha c5 grand piano, plays just beautifully, along with Rick Lollar on guitars, Coy Bowles (of the Zac Brown Band) on acoustic guitars & tambourine and he also produced this album, Kevin Scott & Aaron Trubic on electric bass, Kevin Smith on upright bass, Mark Raudabaugh & Darren Stanley on drums & 4 very good vocalist which consist of Bridget Kitson, Marshall Ruffin, Clay Cook, and Oliver Wood. As I stated earlier, there are only 8 tracks & the album does go by fast, but, I played this over 3 times in a row and I love it.  A mixture of Jeff Beck, Supertramp & Jackson Browne, is what this sounds like to me, and I like it. Check this out!! 5 out of 5 Music Guru Stars.
