ELTON JOHN ~Wonderful Crazy Night

Once again, ELTON JOHN puts out an album, but this time…there’s something different about it. Oh yeah, he’s got his old band mates playing along with him, as well as Bernie Taupin, his lyricist with him as well. How much better could it be? The album has 10 songs and was produced by T-Bone Burnett. Everything falls into place with this album. Elton’s vocals are a bit lower than when he last played with these guys, but the music & melodies are still there. The lyrics are not what they use to be, but, man, can Elton play that piano. Davey Johnstone & Nigel Olsson are there too. Musically, this gets 5 out of 5 Music Guru Stars, Lyrically, it gets about 3.5

I still recommend this based on the playing on this album however.
