Winery Dogs ~ Hot Streak

The new album from the WINERY DOGS featuring the wizardry of the three members MIKE PORTNOY (Dream Theater, Tranatlantic, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.), BILLY SHEEHAN (Mr. Big, David Lee Roth, Talas, etc), and RICHIE KOTZEN (Mr. Big, Poison, solo, etc.), really work together so well, it is an amazing sound to hear. The new album “Hot Streak” is a perfect example of this. Each track is great unto itself, but, put it together with the rest of these songs makes this a top album for 2015. The opening track “Oblivion” really ramps you up to get started on this journey with the Winery Dogs. Following up that song with “Captain Love” which slows it down just a bit, but, still makes it’s impact. “How Long” is another very strong track for me, but, in reality, they are all just great. “Fire” is a nice ballad, which is mostly a Richie Kotzen song with Billy & Mike doing very minimal on this song, but, it still works. These three guys make great music together. They’ve played at the KESWICK THEATER in Glenside, Pa. when I saw them play live & it was a great show to watch as well as hear. Both this album & their previous album both are making big waves on the U.S. charts. I can’t wait for the next WINERY DOGS release. This album gets 5 out of 5 Music Guru Stars.
