ROGER DALTREY FOR TEEN CANCER TRUST CONCERT July 28, 2014

Daltrey Kimmel

Roger Daltrey, at the age of 70 years old, not only looks great, but, sounds great as well. This concert at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on July 28, 2014, in Philadelphia, PA. was great. This was a charity event for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which houses the U.S. Teen Cancer Trust, with possibly more to come. Roger not only played songs but, he introduced some of the Teen Cancer survivors. Roger has a passion for this. He played mostly WHO hits, consisting of I Can See For Miles, The Seeker, Who Are You, You Better You Bet, The Naked Eye,The kids are Alright,Squeeze Box,Baba O’Riley, Pinball Wizard, Behind Blue Eyes, which he asked the audience to sing along, Young Man Blues, Bargain, which was sung by Simon Townshend, sounds like Pete, looks like Pete, need we say more? Roger brought out Joan Jett, who opened up the show and put on a great show herself, to sing Summertime Blues, and finished off with Without Your Love, which is noted as a Daltrey song from the McVicar soundtrack, although it is a Who films movie. Would that make it Roger or the Who? It doesn’t matter, it’s still a great album.
