A great show at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden NJ was held on July 3rd. 3 great bands for 1 great price. First up on the bill was Don Felder, who was a member of the EAGLES, as well as a sucessful solo career. You may remember a hit from him from the movie HEAVY METAL. Yes, that was Don Felder. He has a great new album out called “ROAD TO FOREVER”. What a great album this is. I wish he would have played more from it. He did play a lot of Eagles hits as well as Heavy Metal, which did make my day. I love that song. From the Eagles, Don played One of these Nights, Life In The Fast Lane, Witchy Woman, Hotel California, with Tommy Shaw & Todd Zuckerman of Styx.
i highly recommend seeing Don Felder if you have the chance. Next on the bill was…
STYX. They played their hits, which I’d love to see them play some different songs. I love Styx, but, I’ve seen them a few times & would love to see them play different stuff. They opened with Grand Illusion, which is a great song to open with. They also played Fooling Yourself, Lady, Lorelei, Rockin’ The Paradise, Renegade, They did do a couple of covers, which was different for Styx. Can’t Always Get What You Want with a great Glenn Hughes solo & they told the story of their bus catching on fire the night before, so they played Light My Fire.
FOREIGNER was the headliner at our show, & they too put on a great show. They started off with Double Vision, Head Games, Cold As Ice, Waiting For A Girl, which they explained that they’ll be returning to NJ later to play the whole “4” album. Feels Like The First Time, was next as they brought out Mick Jones to play with them, some more hits followed and they finished with Hot Blooded. A great show over all. I’d rate this a 5 star out of 5 Music Guru stars. Thank you Don Felder, Styx & Foreigner for all of your great music throughout my life. You can hear all of these artist at
